International Use of Force Expert Conference April 29 to May 1, 2025
The Police Academy at the Justice Institute of B.C., in partnership with the Law Enforcement Training Association, is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual International Use of Force Expert Conference from April 29 to May 1, 2025. We invite you to join us for what promises to be an educational and inspiring event set against the backdrop of the vibrant city of New Westminster, B.C.
This year’s conference, themed “Global Perspectives,” will be held at the Anvil Centre Theatre, a premier venue renowned for its modern facilities and exceptional service. Conveniently located in the heart of New Westminster’s historic downtown, the Anvil Centre provides a dynamic and comfortable setting for our sessions and networking opportunities.
This conference aims to bring together a diverse group of experts, practitioners, and academics to explore, in a global context, the multifaceted aspects of one of the most important topics in law enforcement: the use of force.
Use of Force is and will continue to be, one of the most critical areas impacting police scrutiny and legitimacy. In this constantly evolving field, it is incumbent upon us as leaders to ensure we provide the best knowledge and training for the next generation. Over three days, you will engage with a rich program designed to delve into various dimensions of global use of force issues. The conference will provide a platform to examine current trends, challenges, and innovative solutions.
We thank you for your interest in the 2025 International Use of Force Expert Conference and eagerly anticipate your participation in this event as we explore global perspectives on use of force together at the Anvil Centre!
Best Regards,
Supt. Jenn Keyes
